Life is all about balance.

A very valuable lesson I’ve learned in life is that it is all about balance. Too much of one thing and not enough of another usually ends up as a wash. You’ve got to balance things out and mix it up sometimes. Last week I really focused on being productive and accomplishing more and more each day to lead to the success of my brand. While I did get a lot accomplished, today I am feeling kind of drained. I am not in alignment with all aspects of life. I even put on extra of my Balance essential oil blend this morning.

This week I need to focus on leveling myself out. I worked so hard on accomplishing things last week that I kind of forgot to take care of my soul. I wouldn’t go so far as to say I’m not in a good place, because I am, I just need to recharge a little. So my focus this week is “My body, mind, spirit and emotions are aligned with the goodness of life.” Balance.

Results are much more abundant when you have balance in life

What the universe will manifest when you are in alignment with it is a lot more interesting than what you try to manifest. – Adyashanti¬†While you can try to manifest things without being aligned with the universe, I don’t recommend it. The universe will bless you ten fold when your vibration is higher. You have to align with the universe and the goodness of life if you want true abundance in your life. This doesn’t mean that the work we do to receive the things we want isn’t necessary, because it is. The universe doesn’t just hand us things. But we need to balance the physical work with the spiritual work.

I get so wrapped up in the physical work

I will be the first to tell you that when I want something I will put more more work into the physical than the spiritual. We were raised to believe that if you want something you’ve gotta put in the hard work and get it yourself. Nobody is going to give you what you want but you. This is partially true. You do have to work hard for the things that you want. Last week my only focus was accomplishing my super long to-do list. I did great and I feel really good about everything I got done in the last week. Finished some t-shirts. Worked on some new projects. Cleaned out some junk. Spent a day at the zoo. Did 3 loads of laundry. Washed a few sink fulls of dishes. Shit got done.

But now as I am reflecting back on the last week, I just feel exhausted. I didn’t journal at all last week or take the time to thank the universe for everything it has given me. My body is extremely tight today. It is very obvious that I did not take any time for yoga last week. I also didn’t take much time to sit and listen to the things my body was trying to tell me.

Take time to care for yourself

I can’t stress how important this is. Your mind and body are a temple. You must treat them as so. All your hard work in life means nothing if you can’t live in your own body. You are a divine being and deserve to feel like one. This week I am making a commitment to myself to care for my body and spirit. I commit to journaling everyday, even if I need to stay up a few extra minutes to get my thoughts and devotions on paper. I will spend some time reading my book this week to develop my meditation and manifestation skills. Most enjoyably, I promise to take a hot oil bath tonight with one of my favorite bottles of wine, burn some sage and soak in the candle light. Take care of you, baby girl.
